Greek-Style Cucumber, Tomato and Herb Salad

In days past, before measurements were standardized, this is how things were put together. Every woman had her “special” tea cup, she used just for baking, or not. This is the way my grandmother made chocolate cake. And what a cake it is.
The other day is was lunching at a local restaurant, and their daily special was a pork schnitzel sandwich, topped with their applesauce aïoli. It was really quite a lovely combination, so I decided it was time to explore the rich deliciousness, that is an aïoli. And then there’s the alliteration thing, Applesauce-Allspice Aïoli. What can I say?
Tzatziki (zat-ZEE-key) is truly summer. Oh yeah, it’s good all year long, but it runs screaming through summer. It’s nasty hot, isn’t it? So it’s time to think about cool things, like this sauce. This is great sauce to serve with
