I’m a chewy, fudgy brownie-type of woman. Cake brownies are well, just cake, really. Brownies should be dense and moist and rich. These brownies are all that, but they have the added bonus of coffee and bourbon. We’ll say these are “adult” brownies…I think they’re better the next day, but they’re damn fine, just out of the oven and cooled for maybe 15 minutes, too…damn fine!
Banana Bread is delicious, but it’s particularly delicious with toasted nuts and chocolate. This one’s boozed up, even though I may have this for breakfast. Toasted with butter….MMMMM!
Is there anyone who doesn’t love brownies? Really. Is there? But, now the big question…are you a fudgy-type or cake brownie-type of person? I’m afraid, I’m both. But, I definitely lean fudgy! And these are fudgy, but with a little kick of heat at the back…Nice!
This is a light, but moist cake, with a nice pure flavor and a great texture. It doesn’t have an over-pronounced banana flavor. It’s subtle. And it’s tropical, with bananas, coconut and rum.
Crêpes are wonderfully flexible, but not eaten nearly enough. They seem to have become passé. They’re no longer as exotic or sexy, as they once were. And, it’s a damn shame, I tell you. So let’s bring them back.
