It’s all about the sauce. It really is. But, you already know this. A sauce can make the ordinary, a truly extraordinary culinary experience. So, we’re going to talk about sauces over the next little while. Let’s go….
I know, I know. Everyone knows how to microwave sweet corn. That’s nothing new. But, this method was new to me—cooking the corn with the husks and silk intact! It works like a charm, it’s unbelievably simple and most importantly, it is absolutely delicious.
Caesar salad is such a classic, that it is very difficult to improve on that classic. And you absolutely can, and should make the dressing from scratch in the classic mayonnaise style. But, every now and then, it’s good to have this little recipe in your apron pocket.
This is perhaps one of The Goddess’s favorite recipes. She could live on this. Originally she marinated whole chickens, then she grilled them over indirect heat. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Hurray! It’s soft-shelled crab time! They are back in season. Soft-shells are only around for a couple of weeks, so get some and enjoy them now. Keep it simple, with a light breading and a nice big drizzle of great Meyer Lemon-Brown Butter Sauce….mmmmmmmm…life is great!
