These little oozy, gooey squares of rich, chewy chocolate goodness are perfect for…well pretty much anytime. I’ve been making a non-chocolate based version of these for years. Yeah, alright…I should have thought about this sooner, but I didn’t. Better late than never. Continue reading
This is more or less the dressing of my childhood. I love, love, love stuffing or dressing. You can keep the turkey, but keep the dressing coming. This is herby and oniony and just plain wonderful…it wreaks of the holidays.

This is a really nice addition to your Sunday brunch or for this season, Thanksgiving day breakfast. We had a slice with some salad for a nice, light supper, and as a side with a bowl of Creamy Mushroom-Pumpkin Soup with Sherry. I think if might be good with gravy, as in biscuits and gravy…just a thought!
Caramel sauce is spectacularly good. It’s rich. It’s easy. And it’s always good to have some in the fridge, waiting for just the right moment. You know, like when the sun rises in the east. So grab a spoon.
I know, I know. Everyone knows how to microwave sweet corn. That’s nothing new. But, this method was new to me—cooking the corn with the husks and silk intact! It works like a charm, it’s unbelievably simple and most importantly, it is absolutely delicious.

Hurray! It’s soft-shelled crab time! They are back in season. Soft-shells are only around for a couple of weeks, so get some and enjoy them now. Keep it simple, with a light breading and a nice big drizzle of great Meyer Lemon-Brown Butter Sauce….mmmmmmmm…life is great!
The Goddess loves onions (and all of the lily family, including the flowers!). She uses them with complete abandon. A hamburger is not to be eaten without onion. Several thin slices of raw red or Vidalia onion, is hamburger heaven for her and The Spicy Honey.
This is The Goddess’s first posting from rainy South Florida, and what better meal than red snapper and shrimp with a great sauce? (Did I mention, it’s all about the sauce? I did…oh, okay!) I had forgotten how often it rains here, but that did not dampen our dinner, the first one together in our little furnished apartment…it’s like we’re newlyweds again!
