Ramen noodles are good.  I don’t care what anyone says, they are a quick and easy lunch, snack or as here, dinner.  The folks over at epicurious.com recently published something on Korean ramen, that messes with the cooking procedure.  They could be on to something…. Continue reading →

When The Middle Son and The Unbound Reader joined forces, their wedding brunch was catered by The Red Blazer in Concord, NH.  They make a Breakfast Lasagna, that had all of us tripping over each other to get another piece.  We had all moved on from the real reason we were there.  We were all there for the Breakfast Lasagna!  Continue reading →

Pastel de Pollo Cubano (Cuban Chicken Pie)Cuban Chicken Pie is totally different from what we non-Cubans think of as chicken pie…there’s no cream, no carrots and celery and the crust is totally different, more cake-like, than short and flaky.  This is for The Honorary Gal-Pal and did I mention that it’s delicioso?  Continue reading →

This is one of those totally self-indulgent dishes…well, self-indulgent for me.  I love fried rice.  White rice you can keep, except to act as a nice fluffy, feather bed to be blanketed with a great sauce.  This is a version of an after-work meal that I dream of.  It’s the sole reason The Goddess makes extra rice.  Continue reading →
