I love spicy.  I love The Spicy Honey, too…but that’s different.  I love sweet and sour.  I love shrimp.  I love cashews.  Okay, you get it…I really love this flavor combination, and I think you might, too.  And it’s just in time for the Asian New Year…January 25th, this year…the year of the Rat! Scallion-Ginger SauceThis stuff is unbelievably delicious.  Spoon-over-the-sink kind of delicious.  The simplicity of the mixture just doesn’t jive with the amount of flavor you experience.  It’s a perfect foil for steak, grilled chicken or pork or salmon.  Or an Asian-inspired Sloppy Joe!  You have to make this sauce.  Continue reading →

Spicy Apple-Cranberry ChutneyAnyone you knows The Goddess, knows that her refrigerator is always bursting at the seams.  The reason?  One word…condiments.  Condiments and sauces are where it’s at.  It’s such a luxury to have jars of sauces, relishes or chutney tucked away, just waiting to be smeared on crackers, or added to a grilled cheese. Or serve alongside your Thanksgiving turkey, which is a nice change from, or in addition to, cranberry relish.   Continue reading →
