I was going to call this Tropical Cranberry Sauce, but that’s way too vague. And I want you to try this. It uses some of the most wonderful flavors of the Tropics, but still retains a familiarity to the more traditional version. Continue reading
You know how The Goddess loves her sauce. This one is a passion. It’s simplicity itself to make. It’s spectacularly flexible and it’s extraordinarily delicious. I’m thinking this will be and incredible glaze for our Thanksgiving turkey.
Do you have leftover Picadillo Cubano? It makes a great filling for empanadas, and I threw a ripe plantain for good measure. It was (note the past tense!) delicious. The perfect light supper for The Latin Lover, after his return from the airport. Yes, he travels a bit, leaving The Goddess to wander and get into all sorts of trouble.

I went to the Polish deli last week and came away with some great kielbasa. This is the creation that came from that adventure. The dill pickles are the key. They offer flavor, texture and well, they’re dill pickles. They’re the perfect foil for all the other flavors.
This is a great little appetizer to whip up at a moment’s notice. Smear it on a bland, buttery cracker, and you think it’s perfect. But stuffed into one of the little sweet-hot round peppers that you can find on the olive bar…you know the ones, it’s stupendous.
