I think I’ve mentioned a couple of times (or twenty), that The Goddess has a fondness for eggplant. The season is in full swing now, so you might imagine that eggplant is finding it’s way into, onto, around, under, etc. her table. She’s been hasselbacking things recently, and why should eggplant escape her vision?

This was breakfast today! What can I say? The Goddess tends toward leftovers for breakfast and rarely does she do breakfast-type food. This was a surprisingly fabulous combination.
You know, The Goddess has mentioned now and then how much she enjoys condiments…Okay, she tends to go on bit about them. And with good reason. Compound or flavored butters are condiments, too. And this is one of the best.
I’m calling this a schmear. But, you can call it whatever your little heart desires…a dip, a spread, a condiment…you get the picture. If you enjoy dill pickles, you’re going to love this. It is THE perfect “special sauce” to schmear on a burger! Think about it….
Sweet potatoes are a nice change of pace and they shouldn’t be relegated to being served as just a Thanksgiving side dish. And savory is the way to go, as sweet potatoes are sweet enough…you know, like The Goddess!
