Fish curries don’t seem to be as popular as chicken, lamb or vegetable curries. It’s too bad, because fish curries are really good. This curry uses both fish and shrimp, which work very well together…friendly creatures of the sea, swimming together in a nice tomato-based curry sauce.

Corn cakes are a nice change of pace and a really wonderful option to use up leftover corn-on-the-cob. Zucchini and tomato just seemed like a natural fit. And I think it was.
I do love to read The New York Times (NYT). And don’t get me started on their Sunday crossword. The Eldest Progeny and I tend to share that joy whenever he’s around, but every other Sunday, it’s mine. All mine.
Is this really Sicilian? Perhaps, if The Goddess lived in a Sicilian village she would be making this dish, with many of the flavors—tomato, capers, olives, garlic, orange (there it is again!) and some fennel—that are so prevalent in Sicilian cooking. This turned out to be delicious, so she will be making this frequently.
