This is particularly delicious with fish, seafood or pork. The thing I like about this, is that even though it’s nice Thanksgiving side dish, it’s wonderful when fresh apricots are in season. It’s quick, easy and totally delicious.
This is a wonderfully crispy, nutty crust, juxtaposed against the creaminess of the fish fillet. The flavors play off of each other, bring cohesion to the dish, but still offer up a delightful textural quality. According to The Spicy Honey, it’s a keeper recipe.
Sweet potatoes are a nice change of pace and they shouldn’t be relegated to being served as just a Thanksgiving side dish. And savory is the way to go, as sweet potatoes are sweet enough…you know, like The Goddess!

I was reading a blog the other day, and I ran across something called Pašticada. So, what’s this about? Not being Croatian, this was new to me, but from what I was reading, this dish is a pretty big deal. For the non-Croatian palate, this may seem like an odd combination of flavors to use with beef—lemons, nutmeg, cloves, prunes and other dried fruit—all braised slowly in red wine and plum brandy.

Unless your roots lie in Italy, polenta may be pretty unfamiliar. It certainly was for The Goddess. But, she’s a convert. This is a great starting place, if you’ve never made polenta. You can do this and polenta with corn and cheese is just so delicious.
