When the weather cools…okay becomes damn cold, there’s nothing quite like a bowl of soup or chowder. This is a simple combination of leeks, salmon, fennel and three kinds of potatoes. Chowder, without heaps of freshly ground black pepper, just doesn’t cut it on The Goddess’s table….
Moment of truth? This is really a garnish. In actuality, it’s a garnish that’s a relish, but “Condimento Picado” just sounds so much better than “Minced Relish”, doesn’t it? This is a perfect, tailor-made quick garnish/relish to add a punch of flavor to almost any plain, or simply prepared, protein.
Risotto is so good. It’s a one-pot meal, The Spicy Honey likes it and well, it seemed like just the thing for dinner tonight. At the store, the shrimp looked great, so the plan came together. Don’t you just love when that happens?
This is a nice alternative to tartar sauce. It’s wonderful served on the side of a grilled salmon filet….mmmmm! I usually serve this with

I was thinking about making sushi, but just didn’t get myself organized enough to manage that. This is sushi, but “unrolled” or deconstructed—layers of flavor. This is fork food. Chopsticks won’t work too well here, but the flavors are deliciously sushi.
The weather outside is frightful! Chili is just this thing to take a bite out of the cold. I know we’ve explored
I was going to call this Autumn Hummus, but really, what does that tell you? Nada! The pumpkin and roasted peppers are there, but they are subtle. Not front flavors at all. And it’s very festive-looking.
